La huida a la memoria es uno de los mecanismos de defensa más utilizados frente a situaciones incómodas. La pandemia de 2020 hizo que escapara del presente para refugiarme en el ayer, conduciéndome a reconocer y descubrir mi pasado, pudiendo así fortalecer mi propia persona y construir mi identidad.
Mi abuelo, a sus 66 años, decidió rememorar sus recuerdos y escribir con claridad sobre su pasado, para tenerlo presente y legarlo a un futuro. Para mí, como su nieto, recuperarlo y darle el valor que precisa fue el motivo principal que me movió a descubrirlo y desarrollar este proyecto.
“Memorias y Frecuencias” aúna sus memorias, su diario personal y su obra poética en tres tomos, transmisores de su experiencia vital así como del reflejo de la sociedad española del siglo XX, con una clara reivindicación de la figura de los abuelos, de las relaciones intergeneracionales y del valor de la familia.
Escaping to memories is one of many defense mechanisms against uncomfortable situations. The 2020 pandemic led me to take refuge in the past in order to flee from the present, leading me to recognize and discover my roots, thus being able to strengthen my own person and build my own identity.
My grandfather, at the age of 66, decided to recall his memories and write clearly about his past, to keep it present and pass it on to the future. For me, as his grandson, recovering it and giving it the value it needs was the main reason that moved me to edit and create this project.
"Memorias y Frecuencias" compiles his memoirs and personal diary in two volumes, transmitting his life experience as well as the reflection of 20th century Spanish society. Also, it plays tribute to the all of the grandparent and put in value the importance of intergenerational relationships and family.
